Fotofacial Rejuvenation procedure is a non-invasive procedure used to treat and improve the color and quality of the skin. This technology targets brown spots and fine blood vessels in the skin reducing the signs of sun damage and redness. In addition to providing smooth, even skin color, treatments stimulate collagen production resulting in a healthier refreshed and more youthful appearance.
With minimal discomfort and no downtime, patients obtain help with rosacea and other skin problems such as "broken capillaries," brown spots, liver spots, uneven pigmentation and sun-induced skin damage. In contrast to other intense light pulse (IPL) and laser systems, our treatments with elos technology of Syneron™ along with our Zimmer cooling system and topical anesthetic cream, usually results in minimal discomfort during the treatment.
Fotofacial can be used not only on the face but also for the neck, chest and chest. This procedure can be combined with facial treatments and microdermabrasion. As a non-invasive rejuvenation system, Fotofacial results can be maximized in combination with Botox®, Dysport® and any of the injectible fillers. A series of four to six treatments are recommended and depending on the area, each treatment can take about 10-60 minutes.
CELLULITE REDUCTION
Cellulite is a skin condition that affects more than 85% of women. This condition is not caused by poor diet, lack of exercise or an increased body fat. The development of cellulite is primarily caused by: hormones, vascular changes and inflammation. Cellulite appears when fat cells under the skin get enlarged and the once flexible collagen bands become brittle and no longer can stretch properly. This is what causes the dimpled skin known as cellulite.
SmoothShapes® system using a technology called Photomology®, combination of dynamic laser and light energy, liquefies the fat cells and repair brittle collagen. The contoured rollers and vacuum massage assist in moving the liquefied fat out through the lymphatic system and smooth the appearance of skin.
SmoothShapes® is a safe, comfortable procedure providing long lasting results from the dimpled skin known as cellulite. Patients have improved skin tone and texture and skin feels tighter. A series of eight sessions, twice a week for four weeks is recommended.
SmoothShapes® treatment can be used on thighs, buttocks, arms, knees, hips, abdomen, waist and back.
FRACTIONATED CO2 LASER
Whether you are bothered by "crow’s feet," lip lines, wrinkles or acne scars, FRACTIONATED CO2 LASER resurfacing treatments may be the right solution for you. Several fractionated laser treatment sessions render similar results to that of the traditional CO2 treatment. Some people may need only a long weekend for recovery from a full face fractionated resurfacing. The Fractionated CO2 Laser settings may be individually tailored to treat skin pores, texture improvement, brown spots, wrinkles, acne and traumatic scars. Even some non-surgical tissue tightening is observed in some patients! While topical anesthetic and skin cooling makes the procedure comfortable twilight sleep sedation is also available. In addition to treatments of the face, Dr. Zemplenyi is able to perform fractionated laser resurfacing on the neck, chest, arms and hands. Fractionated laser resurfacing may also be combined with fillers/volumizers such as SculptraTM and Radiesse™.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL
We are excited to employ one of the fastest, most effective lasers for laser hair removal. The ELOS™ technology (electrical and optical synergy) is utilized in the Syneron™ Comet where a diode laser is combined with bipolar radio-frequency for removal of unwanted hair.
Is laser hair removal painful?
Combined with our skin cooling machine and topical anesthetic cream, patients experience minimal discomfort during treatment, especially when compared to older available systems.
How many treatments are needed for permanent hair removal?
As with other hair removal lasers, only those hair follicles susceptible to elimination are treated with each session. Those follicles not in their active growing phase are not affected by the treatment. Thus, not all hair follicles can be treated at once, and patients are expected to have at least six laser hair removal treatments in order to achieve prolonged result.
